Go For It

GO FOR IT

Italy, 1983, 107 minutes, Colour.
Terence Hill, Bud Spencer.
Directed by Enzo Barboni.

Go For It is one of the many films with Terence Hill and Bud Spencer directed by E. P. Clucher. Clucher (Enzo Barboni) directed the two in their internationally successful films They Call Me Trinity and Trinity Is Still My Name. Though they have worked with many other directors and Terence Hill has appeared in some international films (March or Die, Mr Billion), they have worked many times with Clucher.

This film is made and set in the United States. It is a spoof on espionage - the usual antics of the two are presented quite humorously. By this stage of their careers, they had become adept at timing with stunt work and jokes. Terence Hill relied on his handsome charm and twinkling blue eyes (aided by special effects).

In the atmosphere of the 1983 James Bond films, Octopussy and Never Say Never Again, this film has a nuclear threat as its central focus. Serious issues for typical Hill- Spencer slapstick comedy. Good of its kind.
