Crash is a small-budget thriller by producer-director Charles Band (Parasite, Metal Storm, Swordkill). It takes its cue from the popularity of demonic possession films of the '70s, especially Elliot Silversteen's The Car. This demonic car is linked with Mexican gods and statuettes, a vengeful crippled archaeologist who wants to kill his wife. The film has a mystique about it with the mystery car coming towards its victim - only to be revealed that this is a flash-forward and so the vengeful car gets to do its spectacular stunts twice.

The film has a strong cast including Jose Ferrer and Sue Lyon. Interesting small-budget slam-bang action - with a touch of the supranatural.
