1. The girls at the opening of the film? The murder? The puzzle, the interrogations? Their being sullen? The clues, the tone?

2. Wallander in himself, his work, his wife and her wanting a divorce, Linda and setting him up with the dating online, his style, weary?

3. The characters of the colleagues, their roles, work, on the site of the crimes, the meetings?

4. The murder in the square, the investigation, the body at the morgue, the body stolen? Discovered in the water, the hands and feet cut off, the connections to the initial murder? The victim’s wife? The cause, work in Africa, the photo of the colleague?

5. Sonja’s parents, their reaction? The interviews, the wife’s outburst? The later discussions with the father, his giving information? Eva, friendship with Sonja, in prison, not giving any information?

6. Sonja’s boyfriend, the character, his escaping, his being found murdered? The information, the computers?

7. The discovery of the basement, the computers, the connection between the murder in the square and Sonja’s death?
