Rocky has a lot to answer for. Every sport has had its movie, some good, too many bad.

This version is about basketball, the New York Knicks. But the victorious champion is not a player but a raucous fan who has the chance to become coach and who, despite the resentment of the players and the skulduggery of the new owner (Frank Langella) wins and... The screenplay is obvious, but coach Eddie is played by Whoopi Goldberg who gives it more verve than it's worth. Basketball heroics. And a lot of NBA Stars.
